Longueteau Distillery is strengthening its international reputation by joining a highly exclusive circle of rum producers recognized as global benchmarks in the industry. This recognition, highlighted by France-Antilles Guadeloupe, celebrates more than 130 years of expertise and innovation dedicated to Guadeloupean agricultural rum.

Founded in 1895 in Capesterre-Belle-Eau, Longueteau is the oldest still-active distillery in Guadeloupe. A rare feature in the world of agricultural rum, the estate oversees its entire production chain—from sugarcane cultivation to bottling—ensuring traceability and quality acknowledged well beyond the archipelago.

This distinction comes in a particularly dynamic period for the brand. In 2026, for its 130th anniversary, Longueteau notably drew attention with the creation of an exceptional bottle presented as the most expensive agricultural rum in the world, developed in collaboration with master artisans, glassmakers, and jewelers.

A Showcase for the Guadeloupe Islands

Beyond the distillery’s success, this recognition enhances Guadeloupe’s visibility on the international spirits stage. It highlights the excellence of local producers and the richness of a craft deeply rooted in the history, terroir, and identity of the archipelago.

Through Longueteau, the entire Guadeloupean rum industry benefits from renewed recognition, confirming the place of the Guadeloupe Islands among the world’s leading rum-producing regions.
